It's sort of weird how quickly the world moves on to other things. I mean, it's a good thing, it means we can walk around without getting mobbed, but it's still strange.

I know school isn't starting for another couple weeks, but I'm coming back. I told my parents I was done with all the running around since the news is out. Jet lag, here I come.

In a normal world, I'd be spending most of the summer in the Hamptons, this being the first year that my being at the parties would actually mean anything. Instead I'm apparently going to be primarily in the city, here, or potentially in European hotels while my parents go to board meetings and want me there when the news in case something should happen. Brilliant.

My parents want me home, unsurprisingly.
I don't even know what's going to happen to the pharma section of the company. I haven't even gotten to talk to my father personally because of all the board meetings. Aside from everyone being pulled in for questioning, I don't even want to think about all the employees that might get laid off if this goes even further south.
The school gave me an image inducer, at least. But given everything that happened, I don't know how people outside would take it if they saw me using it.

Sorry if I freaked anyone out yesterday. They've still got me at the hospitals to run tests, but nothing strange has happened since?. I should be back in a couple of days.

Well, at least the part where they put out the statement from my parents asking people to respect my privacy during their broadcast exposing the entire matter is funny. And one of them started saying that I had bat wings. I didn't, for the record.
I don't think it was the doctors who told them about my mutation, though. I don't want you guys thinking they'd talk about that stuff. I'm pretty sure it was my ex-girlfriend from England.
Sorry if this brings any weird heat on you guys. For what it's worth, I doubt the army of lawyers will let photographers and the like come around the school.
